Since 2020, John Phelps has released a catalog of songs that is both eclectic and concise, putting the artist’s influences and work ethic front and center with projects like the debut EP “John” which combined elements of EDM and RnB to his 2023 project “DAWG” which found the artist delivering catchy cadences and clever Raps over self produced beats.
John’s blend of Grunge aesthetic, urban sensibility and flavor for the right amount of flash permit this artist a timeless and authentic approach to the genre and brings a fresh perspective to the world of Rap and urban music.
2023 brought 2 new EPs and a slew of self-directed music videos by the artist with the highly successful EP “DAWG” ushering in a new sound, combining elements of Hip Hop, Electronic and Alternative styles. In August of 2023 John released the 6 track Lofi/Phonk EP “I Found Myself Lost Deep In The Woods” and songs like “Ice” have amassed thousands of streams across DSPs and social medias like Tiktok and Instagram.
In the midst of a string of shows spanning the entirety of 2024 and 2025, John released a number of well received singles that brought him new fans and followers by connecting with new audiences in markets like New York City, Boston, Vermont, Connecticut and New Hampshire. Its with this in mind that the artist enters 2026 with a new project “Papillon” slated for release in March and a slew of shows through out the Northeast and beyond.
